Trail Report For: Mercer – 01/25/2012

Trail Report For: Mercer

Reported By: Kat

Date of Report: 01/25/2012

Trail Conditions: Very Good

Snow Cover: a foot to two feet

Area Report: Not much new to report- trails are in great shape.
We did get about 4 inches of new snow this past week.
Trail 12 from the grade to Trail 9 is now being groomed.
With the only good snow in the state being in this general area the traffic is heavy on the weekends.
If you can come up during the week, I would highly recommend it, lodging is usually a little cheaper during the week also.
WARNING—– Trail 11A near Bear Chasers is closed due to logging. The Forestry Department has requested extra patrols up there due to snowmobilers ignoring the trail closed signs and going around them.

STILL NOT GROOMED YET THIS WINTER- 12W from Camp One west to the county line.
Trail 182 is being groomed from Trail 17(the grade) to the split for 182 and 182B. 182B is groomed. It’s hard to believe we are at the middle of January and some of the swamps still aren’t frozen.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Cookout.
With a special thanks to Rob Coplin, Peoria Pete and Jeff Morden for a great job with the cooking.
And of course Peace Out Pattie, the queen of the raffles!
The biggest personal thanks goes to Pattie, Rob and Pete for helping me while I stared overwhelmed at the pile of dishes

And I think somewhere after a pile of beers the boys decided Brockmeyer is still the Legend haha!

THINK WHITE!!!!!!!
