Trail Report For: Mercer
Reported By: kat
Date of Report: 02/15/2012
Trail Conditions: Fair
Snow Cover: still looking for more
2/15- It’s pretty bad when you start to consider a half an inch a snow storm, but we’ll take it.
I’m leaving us at fair because we are in the same shape as we were last week.
Corners are icy. There’s bare spots, the grade in town is bare and the trails in the woods have some good.
The weatherman took away the sun and the overly warm temps we were supposed to have.
In other words, it’s not deteriorating anymore.
In a nutshell- If you’re looking for a lot of miles on fabulous trails, stay home
If you want to get out and ride some because you have no miles on your sled this year, come on up.
We are getting closer to the end of the season and I look at Wear Rods and Hifax like brake pads on a vehicle…… They are maintenance items and if you drive it you have to replace them occasionally.
If you do make the venture up please stop in at Gateway Lodge and support our club fundraiser breakfast.
It runs from 7:30am-11:00am. It’s All You Can Eat
Gateway is located on Trail 10A just off the Flowage trail
That’s all I have for now, let’s keep hoping for snow!
I haven’t pushed the button yet this year for rating our trails as excellent, I’m still hoping
Does anyone know if I’ve even been able to hit Very Good yet this year? I can’t remember
