Area Report: Hi Everyone ~
We are so pleased to say that we started out great with snow this year. We got about two feet of snow between November 11 and 12. A lot of it settled with a few days above freezing, but most days we are receiving snow or lake effect snow that should allow our U. P. Thunder Rider groomers to groom on December 1. We have to wait for deer gun season to be over, but that’s only a couple days away!
As soon as we get word from the groomers on conditions when they get out there, we’ll pass the word along. We’re hoping it will be all positive news!
Some of the area lakes have just frozen, so please, please don’t try crossing any lakes this early in the season yet. We want you to enjoy your sledding trip and want you to return time after time.
You can receive live snowmobile reports from Caryl DeBroder on our Chamber phone at 906-358-9961 or you can email me at email@example.com for more information.
It’s an awesome time to make reservations to “stay where you play” here in the beautiful Watersmeet area. Please visit our website at www.watersmeet.org for lots more information on our area. We hope to see you real soon.
We should be receiving our new 2015 Western U.P. Snowmobile Maps in the next week. Just let us know if you would like to receive one.
Thanks for visiting our report. We’ll keep the snow coming!
News & Events: We’ll update news and events as soon as possible.
