Trail Report: Bergland
Reported By: Walleye Lodge
Date of Report: 12/23/2014
Trail Conditions: Fair
Snow Cover: Falling Now
Area Report: Floating on Powder all the way up Trail 1
After witnessing white out conditions all day, we jumped on our long tracks and headed North up trail 8 to 1 and the ride was awesome – with lotsa fresh powder. Groomers had not been out, but the trails North of the Walleye Lodge were great! We’ve got some guests in house who were out all day as well and we’ll touch base with them in the morning to find out how their day was. We’ve got temperatures in the low 30’s through Friday and then single digits and some sub zero temperatures are forecasted after Friday, and we’ve got daily snow in the forecast for the next 7 days. Don’t get us wrong, there are some areas that are hazardous, but you just need to use good judgment and be aware of your surroundings. We try to help our guests plan their daily rides by giving them the safest and best trails each morning before they head out and we also help plan out some good pit stops as well. We are going to head out again tomorrow, and will post an update of that ride.
Our ice fishing guides have also been out on the lake. Fishing is good, there is about 8’ of clear safe ice, with no heaves reported as yet. Sledders have been ripping down the lake for the last 3 weeks.
Until tomorrow – we want to wish everyone a very safe and Happy Holiday! Hope to see you UP here soon!
