Trail Report For: Boulder Junction – 12/29/2014

Trail Report: Boulder Junction

Reported By: Boulder Junction Chamber

Date of Report: 12/29/2014

Trail Conditions: Fair

Snow Cover: 12-18 inches

Area Report: WOW what a busy weekend, I’ve never seen this many machines in my life. With 12-18 inches of snow on the ground, the trails held up well, but became bumpy in the afternoon. Last night we had both groomers out of service so the trails are bumpy today, we will be grooming as soon as we get the equipment going. Hopefully all will be good tonight, thanks for your patience.

The trail leaving town to the south and east, 15s-8e has been re-routed straight east of town, we no longer go behind the Lions Pavilion. It is well marked and should not be a problem. Trail 8w between trail 2 and North Creek Road has been logged and the loggers plowed it so it will be rough there until we get more snow. Also be aware of green electrical boxes near some of the trails, they buried all the wires here and some of the boxes are close to our trails.
