Trail Report For: Crivitz – 12/29/2014

Trail Report: Crivitz

Reported By: Iron Snow Shoe Reporter – Bonnie Delaruelle

Date of Report: 12/29/2014

Trail Conditions: Early Season

Snow Cover: 6 to 8 inches

Area Report: This is awesome. We have trails open. Groomers are out there doing the best they can. It is early season riding, but we are riding.

We rode today. Put on about 65 miles between Crooked Lake and Newton Lake. We will rate the trail from fair to mostly good and even some very good.

There are two areas of logging going on. First is a two mile stretch north of Fisher’s Camp and a 3/4 mile stretch between High Falls Damn and Parkway Road. Use caution in these areas.

There are some water holes that have not frozen up yet. Also, the swamp between Newton Lake Road and Eagle Road is not frozen. We tried to pack it down today, but Jim walked in about ten feet and fell through. We will try again after the cold weather sets in these next couple days. In the meantime, we have detour signs up routing you around on Molly Four Road.

There is also a bad spot between Thorton’s and Jungle Jim’s where the groomer went through and got stuck. We made a trail around this so you can get through, but please use caution

Have fun…ride safe
