Sno-Eagles Country Trails & all of Vilas County Snowmobile Trails are Officially OPEN for the 2014-2015 season!
As of last night trails were still in Fair to Good Early Season Riding Condition. It continues to be warmer than it should so there is mushy snow out there. I would rate them FAIR EARLY RIDING as of this morning.
Early Season Riding means that conditions change really quick. I am going to believe that you will find most all conditions out there. Trails on roads are not the way to go.
CATFISH LAKE LOOP & EAGLE LAKE TRAILS are NOT MARKED, NOT SAFE & NOT OPEN so please stay off. That goes for lakes that are not every lake trails. You can get into a bunch of trouble running on just any lake.
Again, temps are higher than they need to be so……to quote the Parks & Recreation Administrator…”THINK SNOW & START DOING THE COLD DANCE!” Temps will begin to drop Monday Night & be in the 20’s during the day. Even looks like a bit of snow. Really good thing is that the evil sun still has not been out. That sun does more damage than warmer temps or even wet style precip.
Have a great day riding & be safe!
See ya on the trails!
