Trail Conditions: Fair
Snow Cover: 3 to 6 inches of snow
Area Report: Most Sawyer County Trails are in poor condition and trail 63 railroad grade is not recommended because of lack of snow. Seeley Hills trails 8, 31 and 77 are in fair condition.
Most of the area lakes have been staked, having 12 inches or more of ice. Fallowing lakes are marked: Lost Land, Nelson, Sand, Tiger Cat flowage, Ospry, LCO, Round, Grindstone, Spider, Little Round, Whitefish and the west side of Chippewa Flowage.
The east side of the Chippewa Flowage has spots of thin ice and has not yet been staked.
Some of the lakes have ice heaves and riders should always ride with caution and stay on marked trails.
Groomers are not out yet and some trails still have trees down on them from past storms. Trails that still need cleaning up are; 5 north of hwy 70 to Wolfs Eagle lodge, 18 and 12 north of Hwy B to Trap and Fish, 6 North of Polish Rd to Dam Rd, 3 and 25 North of Hwy 77 to Lost Land Lake.
Trails are maintained by club volunteers and clubs are always looking for new members.
Don’t forget ATV trails are also open and great for riding!
