I was at the the safety Meeting with the Vilas County Recreational council on Thursday morning. We were told by law enforcement that they will be out. They will be checking registration any and all modified exhausts and safety certifications. If you were born before 1/1/1985 no certificate is required any and all born after 1/1/1985 will need safety certificates. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS CERTIFICATE AND ARE STOPPED ON THE TRAIL YOU WILL BE GET A TICKET AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO OPERATE THE SNOWMOBILE UNTIL YOU GET THE SAFTEY CERTIFICATE. THIS IS A WISCONSIN LAW. THE LAW ENFORCMENT SAY THEY WILL ACCEPT A OUT OF STATE SNOWMOBILE SAFTEY CERTIFICATE. There is a course on line I believe that you must be 16 yrs. Or older just go to dnr.wi.gov and search snowmobile classes.
Please have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS to all
