Area Report: First of all, the Sayner Barnstormers would like to wish everyone a very MERRY Christmas!!! PLEASE keep your travels be safe!!!
Over the last few days, we have received significant new snow. Without talking about amounts, lets just say what we have received is snow we can work with and do some good with. Temperatures this week are on the warm side, but they are supposed to drop, starting Friday afternoon. We will be out, to pave some super highways for your Christmas to New Years Week! Keep doing your snow dances!!!
There are logging operations happening between the following intersection numbers; 205 & 353 on trail 6/10/11 and on 11/51 between 344 & 352. The Cross Country Cruisers also have logging going on out in that neck of the woods as well. Logging could start and/or stop at anytime without the club being notified, so please be ready to encounter logging equipment at anytime in these areas. Trucks are hauling out – so PLEASE be ready to get out of their way! Get off to the side if you can or as quickly as you can – turn around. These loggers are not out there to ruin your snowmobiling experience. They are out there trying to make a living. While they do plow snow off the trail, we ARE working with them the best we can.
There has already been a snowmobile fatality this season, out in Forest County. Please everyone – RIDE SAFE!!! Don’t add to the tragic list of statistics.
