Trail Conditions: Very Good
Snow Cover: Varied – Groomed trails 4-12+ inches
Area Report: Trails are in Very Good Early Riding Condition. Drivers Dan, Beau & Trail Boss Tom were out grooming last night. Tom reports that the trails were “laying down really smooth” & trail are approaching EXCELLENT.
Over night about 2-3 inches of SNOW & snowing at 7 am. The drivers reported it was snowing very hard last night about 10 pm. The temperatures will keep dropping tonight to 21 below. Trails will stay in great shape.
National Weather Service is forecasting single digits above zero during the day & double digit below zero temperatures at night for the new several days.
Eagle Lake & Catfish Lake Loop trails are marked & OPEN. Stay by the barrels.
Section of Trail 3 between 10W/13N & 17N is closed for now. Not all of 3 is closed you can still go west at the 10W/13N intersection. At the 3 & 17N intersection you can still head east & cross Hwy 45N. Just the 2 mile section called the Manske Swamp.
Alternate Trail 13S that heads from the Dairy Queen in town due south to Three Lakes is improving. Slush pockets are freezing with rough patches.

News & Events: *Wednesday & Thursday Trail Rides start Wednesday, January 7 & Thursday, January 8. Meet at the RailRoad Depot in Eagle River on Trail 13 across from Friendship House at 9am. All are welcome to ride.
*Take Pride & Ride Tickets are available at local restaurants, bars & lodging providers in the area .
Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5.

Ride back to town OR
Head out for dinner to one of the many on trail restaurants.
