Groomed again last night
Grooming continues in Eagle River every night. This year with the 2nd week of Derby also falling on Martin Luther King, Jr Monday Holiday for a lot of you has brought a ton of traffic upnorth! Most riders I have seen in Eagle River in a long while.
All trails in Sno-Eagles Country are now open. Please read about the Manske Swamp area & 10W/13N below. Have no problem areas to report today at all. High 20’s & even a 30 yesterday during the day has softened up the snow on top of the base. Happy to report the base is hold up & the cold will be back.
Rode into Eagle River yesterday on Trail 10E & it was smooth & beautious on 10 & 13N. Coming home on the same trail between 6 & 7:30 pm those same trails were bump city from the high traffic. Nightly grooming last night should have helped that. Just know the traffic is high & the trails will be bumpy again by tonight. As the temperatures begin to drop at night the grooming will hold up longer.
Here is the latest National Weather Service prediction for temps:
- Sunday High 29 Low 10
- Monday High 23 Low 18
- Tuesday High 27 Low 13
- Wednesday High 23 Low 8
Eagle Lake Trail & Catfish Lake Loop are marked & OPEN. Stay by the barrels. Remember not all lakes are trails.
The section of Trail 3, also called the Manske Swamp is open. Trail Boss Tom is not grooming that area. Also Trail 10W/13N across the Wisconsin River Bridge is only being groomed to the approach to the bridge. Grooming Equipment is heavy & he does not want to risk any break through.
With the busy weekend stay on your side of the trail in the corners, coming up hills & even on the straight aways.
KEEP DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE!
See ya on the trails!
