Trail Report: Hayward / Sawyer County
Reported By: Hayward Lakes Visitors & Convention Bureau
Date of Report: 01/05/2015
Trail Conditions: Very Good
Snow Cover: 3 to 10 inches
Area Report: Hello Riders!!
Most Sawyer County snow trails are in very good condition. Most trails have been groomed and groomers will be going out as needed. We have a good 6 inch base and we have been getting an inch or 2 of fresh snow every other day. The Tuscobia is groomed and in good condition. We still have 3 trails that cross wet areas that were not frozen enough for groomers to cross, but should be now, but need more snow before doing so. These trails are trail #6 from Tuscobia N to Chippewa Flowage, #5 from Tuscobia N to Trap and Fish, and #5 from Tuscobia S to Rusk County line.
Most lakes have been staked with very good ice thickness, although some ice heaves have formed so everyone is advised to stay on marked trails.
Trails are maintained by club volunteers and clubs are always looking for new members.
Get out there and enjoy the Sawyer County Trails!
Don’t forget ATV trails are also open and great for riding!
GET OUT THERE AND HAVE SOME FUN!!
