Trail Report: Manitowish Waters

Reported By: Barry Hopkins

Date of Report: 01/08/2015

Trail Conditions: Very Good

Snow Cover: 12″ – 18″ +

Area Report: Jan. 8, 2015 – TRAIL REPORT:
Our trails seem to get better every day. A few inches of snow already today and its still coming down. Our trails are very good and will be even better after the groomer gets out there tonight. With the fresh snow comes snow dust…. allow enough riding space between the rider ahead of you to stop safely. Another safety idea: The Sno Skeeters sells reflective Sno Skeeter Helmet stickers for $5 – these are pretty nice to make yourself more visible to the rider behind you. Available at the Pea Patch and soon to be at other area businesses. Remember to stay on the trails: Snowmobiling is a privilege, not a right. Respect our landowners who are kind enough to allow us the use of their property.

Thought I would pass along one of the emails I have received: It’s always nice to hear comments like this after all the hard work to get the trails in shape. Makes me be proud to be a part of the MW Sno Skeeters!!

Hey guys and gals,

Just a note to let you folks know my riding group was up after Christmas and had a great time even with the soft spots. I want to commend you for the hard work you have endured this season so far to give us the best riding we can expect for the conditions we have. Thanks and keep up the good work!
