Lakewood & Townsend the groomers were out on Sunday, January 18, 2015. Trails are tore up with a lot of dirt showing. The Nicolet State Trail had high traffic and groomed out ok. The wooded trails are thin with a lot of bare spots. The area is running low on snow to work with and very little on the way. Conditions are rated as fair in the woods and good to very good on the grade.
Suring & Mountain
Chute Pond Snowmobile Club – Trails are in poor to good condition. Recreational Trail south of Cty AA not being groomed, some trails south of Crooked Lake and East of Hwy 32 not being groomed. The rest of the Chute Pond Snowmobile Club Trails are being groomed today.
Bagley & Brazeau
The Joyriders Club Trails are open (BUT) trails to Suring remain closed. Intersection 73 to 68, 69 to 68 and 68 to the golf course are closed for at least 2 more weeks and possibly longer due to standing corn in the fields. The trails from Lee Lake to Klondike and north to White Potato Lake are now open; also Klondike to the Coleman trails open. The trails from Kelly Lake, north all the way up to Hwy W and the trails going west to the pipe line are open. The opened trails will be getting groomed mid-week. Areas which may not get groomed included marshes or low wet areas, due to soft ground. Remember, be careful in these areas. I would rate the trails as good to very good.
