Trail Report: Sugar Camp
Date of Report: 01/23/2015
Trail Conditions: Very Good
Snow Cover: 12″-15″
Area Report: The trails in sugar camp are holding up well and in very good condition. Some corners are starting to get icy so please use caution coming into them. There is a little snow in the forecast to freshen the trails up which will be greatly appreciated as there is some brown areas starting to appear in certain areas and corners so any snow we get will be great to whiten things up again as we have had very little new snow accumulations the past two weeks. Please use caution on trail 15S. In the area of camp four rd. as there is a 1/4 to1/2 mile swampy area that is not freezing up and groomers have not yet been able to get in there so please slow down in this area. It is a short section that has to be tolerated until we get some more cold to freeze everything up. We have tried to back in this area a little bit but due to to the weight of the groomer and narrow conditions it is hard to navigate groomer in this area. Hopefully we will be able to get in there soon. When crossing lakes please stay close to orange construction barrels as there are some slushy areas off the hard pack.Remember to support a club by throwing a little something in the jug to keep the trails in great shape and support the local businesses! Have a great ride!
