Trail Report For: Sayner – 02/24/2015

Reported By: Sayner/Star Lake Barnstormers

Trail Report: Sayner

Date of Report: 02/24/2015

Trail Conditions: Good

Snow Cover: Enough On Trail.

Area Report: .
My apologies for it being longer than normal for an update to this trail report. I was away for several days without access to a computer and then had Internet issues.

Our trail system has been in amazing condition, when you consider the lack of significant snowfall in recent history. Add to that, about 2 inches of fresh white gold last Friday (2/20), it has left our system in great condition.

The trails are still pretty snirty as you approach town(s). However, further away from towns, the trails are good to excellent – good enough to where I feel I can call them good to very good on average. Many corners are still going to be very icy. Lakes are still fine as long as you stay on the marked crossing(s).

We still have logging operations working on Trail 51 between intersections 344 & 352 and on 6/11 between intersections 205 & 353. This will probably continue for the rest of the season. Please keep an eye out for logging ahead signs, logging equipment, and logging trucks. Do everything you can to get and stay out of their way. Please watch for their directions. These people are not out there to ruin your snowmobiling experience. They are out there trying to make a living.

As always, PLEASE RIDE SAFE!!! Expect the unexpected. Respect especially the groomers and also other riders. You are not the only one on the trail, so always expect traffic to be coming at you around every corner.
