Trail Report: Sugar Camp

Date of Report: 02/06/2015

Trail Conditions: Good

Snow Cover: 4-8″

Area Report: The trails in sugar camp are in good condition. Even though we have not had any significant snowfalls in the past couple weeks. Please use caution in all corners as they are becoming very icy. Also use caution on trail 15S in the camp four rd. area as this swampy area is not freezing due to running water it is a short section that we have to go around. we tried backing in this area and water started to appear with the groomer yet. As for the woods trails they are in very good condition with plenty of snow to groom. Also use caution crossing lakes as they are getting rough from drifting and significant snowmobile traffic and vehicle traffic due to people plowing to certain areas so stay close to the orange barrels as there is still a lot of very slushy areas. All we can do is hope for more snow to get the trails back in excellent condition which they are calling for snow the next couple days. Any little bit will help at this time. Please remember nighttime speed limits of 55m.p.h.Please remember to support a club and businesses as you ride our great trail systems of northern Wisconsin as they work hard to make sure you have an enjoyable riding season! Please also remember to stay on marked designated trails. Without the many generous land owners that let us cross their property snowmobiling as we know it would not be what it is in Wisconsin! Remember ride safe, ride smart and have a great ride!United we trail divided we fail!
