Snow Cover: 2-12″

Area Report: The snowmobile trails throughout Ashland County are PARTIALLY OPEN, groomed and in good condition!
Following the warm-up over the weekend with temperatures in the upper 30s and 40s, Trail 13 south from Ashland to the Town of White River and Marengo has been CLOSED.
Trail 9 from Ashland south to Marengo remains CLOSED and gated due to lack of snow cover.
The trails north of Mellen are CLOSED.
Riders wishing to travel west to Bayfield County may do so by taking Trail 9 north out of Clam Lake toward Old Baldy (aka St. Peter’s Dome). Then take Trail 90 west into Bayfield County.
The trails in the southern part of Ashland County, south of Mellen near Glidden and Butternut, are OPEN with spring-like conditions.
The Tri-County Recreational Corridor, a 62-mile stretch of abandoned railroad right-of-way running from Ashland to Superior, is always OPEN. It was last groomed on March 5.
