Trail Report: Oconto County

Reported By: Oconto County Tourism

Date of Report: 03/04/2015

Trail Conditions: Very Good

Snow Cover: 3-10

Area Report: Lakewood & Townsend
Red Arrow Townsend: The woods trails are in good to very good condition and the Nicolet Trail is as well except for some dirt in places. As always watch for an occasional bare spot in a corner, or a spot of ice. Groomers will be out Wednesday after the snowstorm on Tuesday passes. We expect conditions to improve even more with the fresh snow.

Paul Bunyan Lakewood: It’s hard to believe that it’s the first of March already and only a month of snowmobiling left. The area is expecting 3-5 inches of snow on Tuesday. If that happens with the base we have trails will be the best of the season. Cross your fingers that the weather forecasters are right. We will be out grooming after the snowstorm passes. RIDE SAFE & PRAY FOR SNOW!!!

Both clubs will continue to groom regularly in March as sunshine and temperatures permit.

Suring & Mountain
Chute Pond Snowmobile Club – Rate them in fair to good condition. Few bare spots and watch the icy corners. Ride with caution and enjoy.

Bagley & Brazeau
Joyriders report: The trails held up well from the weekend, Kelly Lake, north to Hwy W, are still good to very good condition. Also the trails going west to the pipeline are good to very good as well. Some brown spots on top of hills. The east trails needs more snow to call them good. Klondike and north to White Potato Lake and also Klondike to the Coleman trails are in fair to poor condition. The rest of the trails are in good condition. The groomers will be out this week.
