Area Report: The snowmobile trails remain CLOSED at this time!
Weather permitting, the trails in Ashland County were scheduled to open for the 2015-2016 riding season on Monday, Dec. 14, 2015. However, the area still has not received sufficient, sustained snow cover to enable this to happen.
We know you’re all anxious to get out there and ride and we assure you that the trails will be declared open as soon as conditions allow for safe snowmobiling. Please continue to check our website, www.visitashland.com, for updates.
The Tri-County Recreational Corridor, a 62-mile stretch of abandoned railroad right-of-way running from Ashland to Superior, is always OPEN in the winter.
