Trail Report: Cable
Reported By: Cable Chamber of Commerce
Date of Report: 01/12/2016
Trail Conditions: Good
Snow Cover: 8-12″
Area Report: Trail report for the week of January 11th.
A few more inches of snow has fallen in the Cable Area over the past two days. Groomers are out and hope to have the entire trail system groomed this week.
Temperatures have dropped well below zero at night and single digits above zero during the day. This has helped freeze the swamps and build ice on the lakes. The lakes are now safe to cross but the temps are too cold for the crews to put up the stick trails. They will get them up as soon as temperatures allow.
Trails 70 and 73 are both now open south of Cable. Please remember where ever you’re riding to stay on the marked trails. Trail access is always a challenge and sleds going where they are not supposed to leads to trail closures.
