Trail Report For: Forest County – 01/06/2016

Trail Report: Forest County

Reported By: Forestry Department

Date of Report: 01/06/2016

Trail Conditions: Poor

Snow Cover: 6-8 inches

Area Report: –
Forest County Trails are open. Trails are in poor to fair condition. If you decide to ride, expect to find occasional bare spots, ruts and wet areas. A few trail segments are not groomed due to unfrozen swamps. Trail conditions should improve with forecasts for snow and cold temperatures over the weekend.

CLOSED TRAILS: – LMT Trail #4 – Intersection 8 to Intersection 4. Please use LMT Trail #2 to travel between Wabeno and the Windfall Lake area.

CAUTION: Again, we cannot stress enough to RIDE SAFELY and responsibly. Trail conditions vary greatly throughout the County. If a trail is not groomed, there is a reason for it, use caution. Do not ride across any lakes or frozen water due to unsafe ice conditions.

The clubs that maintain the Forest County Trail System are made up of volunteers who work very hard to provide the best trails possible. Please respect them while on the trail and allow them to do their job.

TRAILS ARE GROOMED DAY AND NIGHT
