Trail Report: Hayward / Sawyer County
Reported By: Hayward Lakes Visitors & Convention Bureau
Date of Report: 01/07/2016
Trail Conditions: Good
Snow Cover: 8 to 12 inches
Area Report: The Sawyer County snowmobile trails are OPEN!
The trails in the Northern part of the county (the Seeley Hills Area) are GROOMED and in GOOD condition.
The Tuscobia Trail has been GROOMED in the Southern part of the county and the spur trails off of the Tuscobia are also open, though they could still use more snow.
Lakes that are frozen and staked are: Moose Lake, Nelson Lake, Chief Lake, the West side of the Chippewa Flowage, Little Round Lake, Osprey Lake, and the East side of the Chippewa Flowage from Cranberry Lake to Deerfoot Lodge.
**Due to landowner issues on Trail #63 from Boedecker Road Trail 111 into Bayfield County. Please re-route using Trail #13. Part of Trail #13 is closed across private property near Thannum Road, south of Seeley. Use Road Route for the re-route.
Please stay off of any of the other lakes until they are frozen and staked. The weather this weekend will be much colder, making the ice that much safer.
As always – Ride Safe and Have Fun!!
