Trail Report For: Minocqua – 01/04/2016

Trail Report For: Minocqua

Reported By: Tom Bird

Date of Report: 01/04/2016

Trail Conditions: Poor

Snow Cover: 4″

Area Report: Trails in Vilas County are open as well as most of the trails in Oneida County. Conditions are very early riding and generally poor because of the lack of snow and warmer temps. Use caution when riding especially in low or swamp areas as they never really had a chance to freeze prior to opening. STAY OFF ALL LAKES until they are clearly marked!!!! If you see tracks – those are from idiots who don’t take their own safety seriously – DO not follow them. Lots of reports of sleds going trough area lakes. Watch for individual CLOSED trails.

The Following Oneida County Trails will remain closed until further notice.
All Three Lakes Area trails remain closed.
All Hodag / Rhinelander Area trails remain closed.
