Trail Report: Forest County
Reported By: Forestry Department
Date of Report: 02/24/2016
Trail Conditions: Good
Snow Cover: 6-8 inches
Area Report: –
The trail base survived the warm up last weekend. It thinned out a little but in most places it is still plenty thick to work with. We received 2-4 inches of snow Monday throughout the County which helped to level the trail back up. Conditions are FAIR to GOOD depending on where you ride. The Nicolet and Wolf River State Trails were affected the most. The woods trails look to be in pretty good shape.
We cannot stress enough to RIDE SAFELY and responsibly. Trail conditions can vary greatly throughout the County. Use caution when crossing lakes or frozen water as ice conditions will vary.
The clubs that maintain the Forest County Trail System are made up of volunteers who work very hard to provide the best trails possible. Please respect them while on the trail and allow them to do their job.
