Date of Report: 02/05/2016
Trail Conditions: Very Good
Snow Cover: 5-8
Area Report: Townsend – Red Arrow Trails – The snow is down and the trails are in good condition, the best they have been this year. The groomers have been out and will continue to be out all weekend. We received 3″-5″ of heavy wet snow to add to the base we already had.
Lakewood – Paul Bunyan Riders Trails – The groomers were out last night and the trails groomed out very nice but there was very heavy traffic for a Thursday night. Trail boss Jack Bailey said there were still riders on the trails at 3:45 am. We will be grooming again tonight and throughout the weekend. Ride Safe!
Chute Pond Snowmobile Trails – Chute Pond trails are open, and grooming the 6″ of fresh snow from yesterday’s Winter Storm Bucky. Trails are in very good riding condition. Grooming operations will be ongoing, so please remember to watch out for the groomers. If you come across one on the trail, stop and wait for the driver to signal that it’s safe to pass by.
The trails will stay in nice shape a lot longer if you don’t “ride it like you stole it”- especially in the corners. Please take it easy- and leave some snow on the trail for the next guy.
Gillett – Trails are open and in good shape! Grooming took place several times this week.
Oconto Falls Sno Jokers Trails – Trails are open.
Lena Snowdrifters – 5″-7″ inches of wet snow fell from snowstorm Bucky. Both Groomers are out tonight. They will go out again this weekend. Trails are flat and fast. Please respect the private lands we cross.
Chase Sno-Chasers Trails – Trails are opened and groomed.
