Date of Report: 02/15/2016
Trail Conditions: Good
Snow Cover: 2-5
Area Report: Townsend – Red Arrow Trails – It was 15 below this morning, so I’m sure the trails that were groomed last night froze down HARD. Thy all groomed out in very good condition in the woods, but be watchful for an occasional rock, and that always dangerous icy corner. The Nicolet has a lot of snirt on it in areas so be aware of that as well. The groomers will be out as needed throughout the week and will be ready for your visits next weekend. Enjoy your rides, it seems like the season just began but the calendar is starting to work against us. Pray for more snow!
Lakewood – Paul Bunyan Trails – All trails were groomed Friday and Saturday night. They are getting a little thin but are very smooth. We need snow to fill the holes that popped up over the weekend. We will be out again as needed during the week. The end of the weeks temps do not look good with Friday and Saturday in the 40 degree range. Hopefully the weather man is wrong.
Chute Pond Trails – Chute Pond trails are open, and we are grooming when weather and conditions permit. Our trails are in overall good riding condition. Exceptions- the Nicolet State Trail (RR grade) has some very gravelly stretches just north and just south of Mountain and is in poor condition in those areas. The north end of the pipeline still has some deep gullies and dips, and the 18 Corridor wooded trail to Crooked Lake has a few rough spots on the eastern end. More snow is needed for our trail conditions to improve.
Bagley & Brazeau Trails – Groomers were out today and will also be out on Thursday and Friday. The groomer drivers said that the trails are in good condition with some bare spots on the open fields. One area that will not be groomed again this week, is the trail just west of Peshtigo Brook Fire Rd., This trail is west of White Potato Lake area going north or south on the marsh trail because of wet conditions. We tired to groom the marsh today but with no luck. If more snowmobiles ride this trail, we may be able to groom this trail soon. 2/10/2016

Suring – Trails are Open.
