Trail Report For: Sayner – 02/11/2016

Reported By: George – Sayner/Star Lake Barsntormers

Trail Report: Sayner

Date of Report: 02/11/2016

Trail Conditions: Good

Snow Cover: 3 inches (+/-) on the trail

Area Report: –
We had a couple inches of snow earlier this week. Our groomer drivers report having snow in front of the pan on most sections of our system. On the average conditions are good out there. Some areas better than good some not as good.

It is not perfect and pristine everywhere. Conditions vary as well as opinions will vary of what is poor, fair, good, etc… If 4 riders ride the same trail – there will most likely be 4 opinions of that trail.

We do expect heavy traffic this weekend. Corners will get blown out and become very icy as the days get old. Heavily traveled trails close to towns will be snirty.

We have been out every night since Tuesday night. We will continue to groom throughout the weekend.

Icy areas are impossible to pinpoint. So slow down and be ready. Slow down so you can ride another day. Safe riding always works – stupid riding too often hurts!!!

The loggers are currently gone from our trails. But they can start up somewhere else without warning us first. Please – if you run across a logging operation, do not confront the loggers. They have the right to shut trails down to complete their logging. If they get hassled too much – thats exactly what they will do.
