Trail Report For: Superior – Douglas County – 02/02/2016

Trail Report: Superior – Douglas County

Reported By: Superior-Douglas County Visitors Bureau

Date of Report: 02/02/2016

Trail Conditions: Fair

Snow Cover: 6-8″

Area Report: As is typical for this time of year, certain trail segments can be opened and others are not ready yet due to wetland crossings and/or have restrictions due to private land easements. It is critical that we respect the landowners who allow us to use their property… please review the information below carefully before trail riding and confirm that you are using open trails. Please note that on certain trails only segments of that trail may be open at this time. We anticipate frequent updates as the clubs report in with trails they have checked. In all areas where the winter recreational trails are closed the clubs are actively working on the getting the trails open.

NE Quadrant
Snow levels are a little skimpier in the NW portion of our area.
No recent new snow
Most BRR trails took a bit of a beating again last weekend with the high traffic, and warm weather. All trails except 35, 235 and 635 have been groomed since the weekend.
Trail 35 and the south/western portion of 235 are scheduled to be groomed Wednesday.
All trails are flat but some corners are dirty, just couldn’t hide every bit of dirt in all the
corners. In general trails are in good shape but snow depths vary widely. Some snirt in the open areas of 27A.
