Attention: Only Valid E-mail Addresses Will Receive Passwords To Use These Message Boards

ATTENTION Members of SnowTracks.com!

We have launched a NEW Forum System, PLEASE DO NOT POST to these forums any longer!

We were able to transfer your User ACCOUNT and posting information into the NEW Forum System!

We have left the OLD Forums online temporarily so you can retrieve your avatars, images and any other info you have stored here. That way you can post them in the NEW Forum system.

Please visit the NEW Forum at: http://www.snowtracks.com/forums/login.php?do=lostpw! The first thing you will have to do is REACTIVATE YOUR EXISTING ACCOUNT in the NEW Forum system.

Just fill in your email address and a new password will be generated and emailed to you, then you can LOGIN with the new password and go to the UserCP (User Control Panel) and enter whatever password you want to use in the future. You will also be able to modify your User Preferences through the new User CP once you have logged in.

We debated for over a year about switching Forum Systems and finally decided that the NEW Features, like your own Personal Members Photo Album, a brand New Classified Ad System, a way to Post Videos in your messages along many more features, had become more important then trying to preserve the messages from the existing forum system. We hope you agree!

Thank You for being a Member of SnowTracks.com!

1. Login or Registration Problems? - CLICK HERE 10-07-04 09:35 PM
Our message board system uses cookies to record your user information. If you are having problems registering or logging in then try these fixes first.

***********************************************************

In Internet Explorer try............

If you are using the Internet Explorer BROWSER then go to the top menu and "click on" TOOLS.

Under TOOLS "click on" INTERNET OPTIONS and under INTERNET OPTIONS "click on" the PRIVACY TAB.

Make sure that area is set to ACCEPT ALL COOKIES then save this setting.

This should allow you to LOGIN and use the message boards.

The way that you know it is working is when the LOGIN link changes to a LOGOUT link on the menu bar.

***********************************************************

Norton's Internet firewall products uses the HTTP_REFERER tag from your browser to verify that your browser is the originator of the post(s) that you are submitting to the forum.

Below you will find instructions on configuring the Norton Internet Security software to allow you to log into the forums at our site. These were provided to me by a user on the forums. I am not familiar with the product. If your software is any different. I don't have those to look at so I can't say how you will have to do things differently.

Go to the OPTIONS choice on the top menu. When you click on it, there’ll be two or three things you can select. Go with Internet Security (not Norton Antivirus). Then click ADVANCED OPTIONS then choose ADD SITE then on this screen you would place www.snowtracks.com in the box. Then click the OK button.

The next screen is where you choose the web site and select the PRIVACY tab. Check to box (use these rules) and the screen will allow you to change the BLOCKED to PERMIT. At the very least we need the HTTP_REFERER and email fields set to permit. If you want to be able to use the features like Auto-Login, remember username between posts within the same browsing session, and display an icon next to the newest messages then you need to allow cookies.

If you still can't register or login please contact Gary at sledmaster@snowtracks.com or call 773-539-4775.

2. Resizing Photo's 10-07-04 09:32 PM
If you need a good image resizer and compressor for Windows, then go to http://www.snapfiles.com/download/dlphotoresizer.html

After downloading just install the program and you are good to go. It's FREE and easy to use.

Remember our system will only allow to upload a 50k file.

Hope this helps!

Gary
