My Buddy bought a 07 FX Phazer new and wants to put some studs on this year. We are wondering what you guys use, or recomend to put in the tunnel for protectors. He purchased a set of universal protectors, but I told him they look kind of wimpy! So we would like to know what works out the best ! THANKS .

you can rivet OLD highfax's above the clips so the will hit on the track when it bottoms out.

As far as studs you are probably in the 96-144 range prob closer to 144 depending on the type of riding.

Sorry I must of not been clear on my post. We allready have all the studs. We want to find out what works best for tunnel protectors. Either aftermarket, or Factory equip. We have the aftermarket alum. 1'' protectors. And are looking at the factory rails which come down and protect the heat exchanger in the front of the tunnel. Just want to ask what you people have used and how it worked.

I just rivited on some slides from the front to the hole in the tunnel at the rear. I rode without them for a while and the studs just scratched the tunnel up by the front hole just a little bit. No way you are going to hurt your heat exchanger, so pop rivit something up there and it'll be fine. Do a good job riviting, i had one pulled through i cought when i had the skid out for maint.
