i have an 04 zr 900 the first year of the act diamond drive, i have 7,200 miles on it and the drive went out, it didn't make noise or anything it just quit turning the track, the secondary clutch spins freely, with no binding or grinding, is this about the time they go out and is there updates for them

you can spin the secondary and the track does not move?

Get out the toolbox and open it up, no reverse that year so it should be fairly simple to get apart and see what the malfunction is, you will probably be buying some internals for it. You have alot of miles on it, most of the problems I have heard of were well before the mileage you posted. OR take it in it needs a rebuild. My$.02
