i have a mid 70's arctic cat 340 panther that isn't working. i cleaned the carb, put it back together correctly, and i guessthat waasnt the problem. there appears to be this vacuum line going from the side of the block to the carb, and there is no vacuum there. ttook the line off, the fitting out of the block, and theres no vacuum anyware. anyone know how to fix this?

The vaccum is only present when the motor is turning over in case you didn't know.
I would look for a fuel filter or other blockage in the lines.
it could be a bad crank seal or something of that nature keeping the crank case from building a vaccum which is used to get the gas in the carbs on some of the older sleds.

Some times you can't feel the pulse when you pull the motor yourself, but have somebody else pull over the motor and you should feel something, if not probably a crakcase seal. assuming you feel the pulse rebuild the fuel pump as you can get the kist usually for less than $10, if that doesn't do it, start checking fuel lines all the way to the tank, and you may find the pickup in the tank gone. Happened to one of my old sleds this year. Good luck.

I had the same problem with my indy no fuel on one side. And someone didn't tighten the jug bolts down good enough creating a air leak and no vacume for fuel pump
