We always seem to wait until after the 1st of the year to ride. We would like to get in a ride before Christmas if there is good enough snow and grooming. Anyone know if any areas up north start grooming early if snow conditions are good enough?

It all depends on if you want to stay in Wi or not. There have been plenty of times where I've ridden in WI on the opening weekend with great snow conditions. Unfortunately, it's been a few years since that has happened. Ususally the Mass City/Twin Lakes area of the U.P. is a fairly safe bet for early season riding, as well as some of the other more popular places that get the lake effect snow.
