The warm continues but the base in the woods is still holding. In the open areas there are spots of breakdown. It did rain last night when I drove home from our empty Bayside Motor Lodge. Overcast this morning but warm. Darn I wish it was below zero!
Trail Boss Tom has halted grooming in Sno-Eagles Country in an effort to save the ice base. The equipment is just to heavy to take out there. He feels we risk breaking down the base if we go out.
When we get solid teens at night he will send the guys out to pan. Right now it just isn't getting cold enough to freeze things down tight enough.
Just got to hang in there 'til it colds down.
Winters not over yet. Keep checking the trail reports.
