Todays tours was booked almost two months ago and with last weekends weather I thought this tour may be canceled. The snow we received from Wednesday through today was only a few inches but enough to get a very good ride. I met Bob and his son Mike at Trackside about 8:45 am and we got on the 13 trail north and headed for the U.P. On the way up we stopped at Bauers Dam for a hot chocolate and a lake ride. There was a little more snow the farther north we went.
I wanted to go to Bents Camp but they had the big radar run up there so I new that it would be attracting many riders. Surprisingly as it was the trail remained very good and white for the way up. We got to Bents Camp and watch the radar runs for a short time then headed back to Black Oak Inn for lunch. Up to now the trails were good but the crowds started to show. From lunch we headed for Land O Lakes for a Fuel top off when the trails started to get a little brown. 6 E had some wear but after fuel we headed back south and made another stop at Bauers as now all the "water shippers" were there. So the guys got a big kick out of that. Finished the ride about 4:00 and they had a great time.
We will need more snow!
