How is trail 5 from trapnfish to clam lake?
Any idea on trails north and south from Oxbow?

We got about an inch up here last night, and they have not groomed trail 5 between Trap and the Tuscobia since the thaw 10 days ago. Trails are thin/icy, and as stated, fairly poor. If they groomed, they would probably be OK. This snow we got last night will provide some track lube, but the trails need grooming, and more snow to get back into decent shape. I cannot comment northward towards Clam Lake, though I do know the Moose Lake groomer runs more frequently.

NE9U, how often you up here?

Are you Kevin? If so I think Ive seen you at the eagle lodge. I was in there a couple weeks ago but not sleddin.
We have 4-6 guys coming up this coming weekend if the trails are rideable. Let me know if you have any fresh info. Otherwise, we might head up towards Houghton.

I came by soo lake to connors lake to winter from our cabin in hawkins and the trails looked poor. rusk is closed south of there and trails by connors looked as though they hadn't been groomed in a while, recieved 1-2 inches of snow saturday afternoon. tuscobie looked fair, didnt ride it though, hoping for more snow or its over.

Yes I am. From what I heard last weekend (I didn't ride) Price county is grooming. Trail 25 south through Oxbo to Connors Lake, they were grooming during the day Saturday. A couple guys put 100+ miles on, and helped a groomer move a tree.

There is snow on the way supposedly.

Unless they have groomed past the Eagle Lodge there, that is POOR. I think there is enough to groom, but they haven't. Groomer was sitting at Trap-n-Fish all week. I'll know tonight or tomorrow for sure, I'll be up there tonight until Friday this week, and can check back and let you know.

Your welcome Mark! Hasn't been a good year to get together up here, and Thursday is my last night at the cabin. I'll be up for pool league through March, and hoping for some snow to take off a Thursday/Friday before the season is out. I'll let you know.

As for the trails around here, BOTH groomers are sitting at Trap-n-Fish broke down, and word is, one is a tractor, the other is a drag, and nobody wants to step up to swap them or fix them. Mostly rain here this morning. Talked to a couple guys in the Eagle Lodge last night that said trail 25 into Clam Lake was groomed, and good! Forest roads were ok (Though I can't imagine they weren't grinding) Tuscobia was ok as well. Trail 5 was JUNK.

Best report I can give.

Got plenty of snow, and they groomed EVERYWHERE yesterday, should be good riding this weekend!
