Another Cold morning in Eagle River. 14 below zero. So the SNOW is going nowhere. Over the weekend we received about 2 may 3 inches of new SNOW. Some was wet SNOW but there was Lake Effect as well.

Trails remain FAIR to GOOD. Yes & with super riding east & then north. Snirt at the road crossings. Thick ice base everywhere so slow down.

***TRAIL 13N - THE ONE WAY SECTIONS NEAR BAUERS DAM HAS BEEN RE-ROUTED FOR LOGGING GOING ON. One of the One-way sections has been closed. The other One-Way has been turned into a 2-WAY trails. PLEASE READ THE SIGNS. Do not go into the closed area. Heavy equipment in there***

Catfish Lake Loop & Eagle Lake Trail have frozen slush pockets so it can be a bit rough in spots. Plenty of ice & plenty of SNOW cover. A real mixed bag of weather ths week. Temps today in the 20's & moving up a bit through Thursday. Cold temps returning on Friday. Best chance for SNOW is Wednesday night & Thursday. The Weather Channel shows a 70% chance on Wednesday night & Thursday. Stay tuned for totals.

One last note....please remember there are other riding out there. Slow down & stay on your side of the trails Winter continues in Eagle River.

See ya on the trails!

All trails in area were "hard-ice" underneath, but continuously groomed with adequate snow, so we had the "flattest" trail riding in a long time over a weekend. Yes, all corners are icy & you need to go quite slow around them, but snowmobile traffic was extremely "light"....friday, saturday, and even sunday a.m. Trails were groomed & not many other sleds on them. Must be that most snowmobilers have had their trips, but i would say...go again for some great riding.
