It was bad day for me. blew the engine on the first ride. I got 13 miles on for the year and then PAAAAA! KLUNK! and there I sat. I pulled the head off the engine, to 2 see the damage. not good. The whole corner of the piston broke off all the way down to the first ring, on the exhaust port side of the cylinder. ANY IDEAS ON WHAT WOULD CAUSE THIS? It is 06 fusion 600 with 3000 miles. I had the engine completely tore down last summer to replace a oil check valve. maybe I messed somthing up on the reassembly. Any ideas would be helpful. I will try to post some picks yet.

Can bet a lot of different things, what type of coloration did you have, any visible damge on the gasket (traces where anti-freeze) would have tracked through it.
I use paint to resize just scale the image to like 50% and check if not scale more and you will get it small enough quick.
