73 yamaho 340

i got the opportunity to buy a 73 yamaha 340 from a good buddy. its in pretty good shape. seat is mint. hood only has a two inch crack in it. runs great fires right up. he wants to know what i will give him for it. i told him ill think about it a few days. i need to know how much this sled is worth so i dont rip him off and myself off. were these oldies fast compared to the other brands? is there anything i should pay attension to when i look at it? thanks guys

:)i know a lot of people didnt like them old yamaha snowmobiles. they were alway blowen up. like BIG JAY said its 36 years old so i would say a few 100 at most
