Ok people, I know that we're all eager to get out on those lakes and rivers, but be responsible. The ice is still unsafe in most places. Two people went through on the Wolf river last night. Granted Alcohol and Stupidity had played their part, but they proved one thing...THE ICE IS STILL THIN.

Use your heads, Ask a local, or better yet, wait a week or two.

on the river wow that is well really stupid as much as I hate to say that. After this snow over the weekend it had it's effects on the ice and the ground in general it sure seemed to have pulled the frost out around here.

Yeah the people that fell threw the wolf it was a man and his 6 month pregnant wife. The guy was drunk and asked his wife if she wanted a ride around the house then started off toward the river and tried to cross it. As Howler said this was no accident it was stupidy!! The guy dragged his wife to shore then they entered someones house threw a unlocked door. The man was cited because he was on probation for drunk driving and was to comply to complete sobriety. All I can say is good thing no one got hurt and its no wonder why some animals eat there young!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just want to say that this is part of the reason on why people dislike snowmobilers. People like those two that dont use their heads. I would also like to say that while my husband and I both have the itch to get a little throttle therapy, we remain off the trails because they are not open and are not safe. When on this past Saturday we saw people on the trails in Fond du Lac, did it make us sick because it is just pure disrespect.
