Way busy in Eagle River this weekend. Trails are FAIR to GOOD in need of new SNOW. The good news is the temps are dropping. Low 20's during the day & singles digits at night. Also new SNOW starting late tonight for the next few days. Great combination as the trails need new SNOW.
We've been grooming all weekend even grooming the grade/Trail 13 2-3 times a night to keep up with the sled traffic. It has only been getting down into the teens at night so the set up isn't as good. The snow is grainy & rolls when the grooming drag goes over. NEW SNOW WILL HELP A WHOLE LOT. So will the colder temps. Freezing tight & hard!
One last thing.....Please slow down as trails everywhere are icy underneath. Even if you have picks ya have to slow down. There were 2 fatalities this weekend. One in Boulder Jct. & another in Forest County. Be safe. Done preachin'
