Alright all you gear heads, question for yall's I hooked up my trailer today to take the sleds out for a little pre season ride, and my truck shook like mad over 30mph. It would go away an then come back bout every 30 seconds or so and last for about 10 to 15 seconds. It would keep dooing that until below about 30 mph or so any ideas, I'm stumped.

Make sure to check you trailer wheel bearings. I had the same happen to me on the way to pick up a new sled a month ago. turned out the Bearing Buddie on my tralor came off, lost all the grease and locked up a bearing. Yours may not be as sever, but check the bearings. You also may have a temporary flat spot on the trailor tires if trailor was sitting on the ground during the off season.

Firstest I would go for the flat spots on the wheels secondaries on the bearings thirdsies on you whooped it up way too much last nite and its just a bad case of the DTs fourtness would have been the unlimited chili bar stop but a strange odor follow'n that would have ensued...

when was the last time you had your tires balanced? you may have lost a wheel weight a vehicle will do some crazy things if your tires are not balanced properly. also check to make sure there is no snow or ice wedged in your rims anywhere just a couple suggestions.
There Are Fast Sleds Reliable Sleds But Few Fast Reliable Sleds.

if the wobbling shaking is constant i would check the tires. But if it unconsistant might want to look at the truck. Over 30 truck might be wanting to shift into O/D make sure you turn that off when towing. your trany will go south realy fast driving with it on pulling a trailer.
Or check the bearings on your trailer. that could do it.
tire preasure
not enuff toung wieght
good luck with the findings
trans flush are 3-500 bucks atleast for my truck and i got them every year till this year. 115,000 miles and i still break them loose shifting into 2nd gear.

All weights are on the tires, and it only happend with the trailer hooked up yesturday. Truck sounds fine, no weird engine noises, it shifts smooth and everything, if it is a flat spot on the tires, would that go away, or should they get replaced, only 3 years old, and the tires have plenty of tread on them.

Put them in some place warm with no weight on the trailer for awhile, drink some beer and see if it goes away. If the beer goes away before the the shakin and a thumpin replace the beer!

Square trailer tires. Put some miles on it and it'll prolly go away once you warm em up enough...

Ah yes, the old square tire syndrome, dang i hate that! Hmm, maybe some lose lug nuts caused some wobble out of the lug holes in the rims? Maybe some bad bearings, ice in the rims, lose ball on the truck, lose coupler on the trailer, lose axle mounts, air pressure in tires. Lots 'o options I guess, but must be the trailer huh? Warm garage and a six pack is probably the answer.

Could also be a bad U-joint on the truck.... when there's torq applied with trailer weight the problem would get much worse..

Well i guess the shaking sydrome is catching..... Same thing here, drove around trying to figure out what was causing the truck to shake with the trailer hooked to it,, Warm garage didnt do it , Drinking beer helped but didnt fix it , no weights missing ,no ice build up ,tires wernt square , then low and behold hmmmmmmmm a thought came to me , surge brakes hmmm? sticking? not releasing hmmm? went in the tool box cut the wire for the brakes and low and behold no more shaking ..... if you have brakes on the trailer seems they only work for the first year then are junk. stick , drag , lock up ,nothing but problems hope this helps you
