track change

I want to swap my 136" track off of a 96 600 xlt to my 2001 600 xcr with a 121"track.What should I measure or check before starting. It is the same width and the sprocket holes are the same distance from the edge of the track.I do have a freind helping who is pretty good with sleds,but any ideas will help.

The tracks will be the same and only require a tunnel extention and rail extentions unless you are swaping the whole rear skid. you might want to change the gearing depending on how tall the 136 is you might only add one tooth to the lower gear. hope i helped ya

Yes I am changing out every thing.Blew the motor on the xlt.I appreciate the response.
