I have a snowmobile trip planned to Bayfield County. I will be riding from Glidden Wi through Ashland County on 12/28/10. I am going to stay over night in Cornucoppia and spend the following day 12/29/10 exploring the local trails. I would like any info on your favorite trails restaurant stops points of interest etc. I have heard some talk about the Valhalla trail being very senic. I will head back to Glidden on 12/30/10 and stay in Bayfield County as long as I can picking up 90 E. just South of Grandview before getting back into Ashland County. Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks :D

Give me a call. 715-779-5600 as I can give you tons of info on riding in Northern Bayfield County as well as current trail and snow condtions. See my trail report under Bayfield which will be updated soon.

If you are staying in Cornie, you need to inquire about gas. Unless I am out of touch, there is no gas station there. There was a place where gas can be obtained but it was by arrangement.

There is just one gas/food stop in the forest. That is the PubNGrub. However, small towns along the lake have services as well as Iron River and Brule. Bayfield is a tough place to get in and out of and there is no trail access into Red Cliff.

Hey hey! Bayfield Rider is in da house! He tells no lie about Pub 'n Grub! THE place to fuel and chow. Anxious for his "No Bull" trail reports!

I actually saw you at the Pub 'n Grub last season. I should have introduced myself but you were talking with an individual and we were heading to Cornie.

I recognized you from the article that was published in the WI snow magazine.

I won't be so timid next time I see you, Gary!

Hey DB. Next time for sure! I forgot to mention that C-Side is now kaput as Chuck and Signe finally retired. No takers on the place. They worked very hard over the years and it was nice to have two gas/eat/drink spots out there. Now it just the Pub.

Tis the season or just about. We are on the borderline for riding the forest roads. 5-8" right now. May take a spin today.
