Should I Dump My 1997 Xlt Triple With Dead Center Cyl.
5400 Miles On It Second Engine Rebuild. Waste Of$$??

No. Unless its a crank issue.
Spend some time and money to get it built right and it will be good as new. If need be take it to the dealer and have them test the coils, stator etc... if its turns out allright on all the electrical and you just have to drop 200 on rings gaskets and maybe a piston you will be in good shape.

check the crank bearings real good because I put pistons & rings in my 97 XLT and did not look at the bearings real good and in 600 miles rod bearing went out so check those bearings.
