Section A (with restrictions) opened on 1/13 at 5pm. We took a ride on Saturday 1/14. Put on 114 miles. Started in Kempster. Went 13 north to 16 east over to Pickerel. From Pickerel went North East to Post Lake. Went North from Post Lake, then South to Elcho. From Elcho headed towards Parrish to catch the trails South to Thirsty Bear.
Overall trails were in good shape. Some leaves and sticks on the trails, but hit very few rocks. Road routes had just enough snow on them. It was a good day out on the trails, and only came upon 8 sleds the entire day.
