Wausau Area?

Hello Snowmobilers,

I've been a member for a while, but something was wrong with the new forum so I just decided to get a new User Name.

I was thinking about going up to the Wausau Area, thinking that the traffic wont be as heavy as further North. I was just wondering about the trails because I've never ridden in that area before. Or If any body has any better reports South of Wausau. I am coming from the Chicago area.

715-344-1433 is Portage Co.
608-339-4230 is Adams Co.

I haven't ridden in Marathon County yet, but Portage is good, or better than.
Adams County is good, if not better than. Adams has a pretty good trail system.
Plenty of food stops. In town fuel stops.
800-800-8000 for reservations at the Super 8 south of town.
Call info for The Akron Motel north of town.

Rode through Marathon county on 12/26/07 trail 19N was good for a while,
when we entered Lincoln county, the trail was poor all the way to tomahawk. when we got to Tomahawk, we learned that the trails re-opened at noon that day, hence the poor conditions. Right now the trails in lincoln county are in excellent shape.
