Yamaha Viper Crank Problems

Has anyone had any Crank issues on there Viper's? I just had the Main PTO bearing
replaced this fall and over the weekend my sled locked up again. I have only rode
about 175 miles after the repair was made. The sled has only 2500 miles on it I have
owned it for 2 years with no problems what so ever. The color of the plugs are in
normal working order. No white coloring at all. Should my mechanic fix this with
no cost since he replaced the bearing?

i have heard of the crank problems in the vipers before, i cant remember what year they first came out with them but it was that year they had trouble, i know of 3 that had trouble and they were all the same year

It is a 2002.

I recall some problems early on and I think '02 was the first year for that sled not sure though

i have a 02 viper that i just cooked the center rod bbearing in. anyone know where i can get a used crank setup?
